From project to program:<\/strong>Since 2014, the Munich City Council has relied on complete construction programs instead of individual measures to provide daycare and school places more quickly. Standard room programs simplify the procedures, but remain flexible and are regularly adapted. The challenge lies in holistic planning, which takes into account educational, architectural, urban planning as well as energy and climate-relevant aspects. <\/p>\n\n

From the corridor school to the learning house:<\/strong>The demands on schools have changed \u2013 away from frontal teaching to a learning and living space that combines education, upbringing and care. All-day schooling, inclusion and modern pedagogical concepts require new room structures, which are architecturally implemented in the learning house concept. <\/p>\n\n

From energy efficiency to climate neutrality:<\/strong>The focus has shifted from energy efficiency to climate neutrality. In addition to land conservation and the preservation of existing buildings, renewable energies, climate-friendly building materials, more greenery and biodiversity as well as quality assurance play a central role. These aspects enable a holistic view of the entire building life cycle \u2013 from planning to operation to recycling <\/p>\n\n

This is where the “All-Day and Space” project comes in: The Montag Foundation Youth and Society is developing concepts for integrated use at five locations selected throughout Germany. In the 2025\/26 school year, there will be 36 KoGa primary schools in the state capital of Munich.This model opens up a great opportunity to enable education and all-day support for all children at their primary school. From a high-density individual property to a networked neighbourhood component \u2013 School of the future \u2013<\/strong>The school of the future is developing from an isolated individual building to a networked neighbourhood component. School buildings are designed as multifunctional spaces that enable leisure, culture and social projects in addition to teaching. All-day conversions<\/strong>The expansion of all-day schools in Bavaria and Tyrol requires flexible spatial concepts that combine learning, leisure and recreation. Adaptations of existing buildings as well as well-thought-out new buildings create versatile educational spaces that meet the increasing requirements. <\/p>\n\n
