Since 2020, she has been at the helm of the Office for School Development of the City of Cologne.
Welcome Address
Anne Lena Ritter opens the event with a welcome address. As Head of the Office for School Development of the City of Cologne, she provides insights into the municipal perspective on school development and the responsibilities of the school authority. The focus will be on the challenges facing the City of Cologne: with well over 140,000 students, approximately 9,000 first graders, and a total of 269 municipally sponsored schools, it is essential to create additional school places, maintain existing schools, and meet the demands of contemporary pedagogy. Key aspects include the expansion of all-day schooling programs, support for newly arrived children and young people, and inclusive school development.
