Currently, the list of the city of Cologne includes 207 school construction projects. Of these, 91 are in the planning stage or are already under construction. In the most recent business plan, around 314 million euros were made available in the area of “new construction, extension and general overhaul” only for major projects in school construction and an additional 82.5 million euros for the ongoing repair and maintenance of municipal schools.
