Hamburg’s Senator for Schools, Vocational Training and Family, Ksenija Milda Bekeris, will give the opening speech on the first day of the SCHULBAU trade fair this year. As a committed education politician, she stands for modern, equal opportunities and future-oriented school development.

Bekeris, born in Hamburg in 1978, has been active in the SPD for many years and has been a member of the Hamburg Senate since January 2024. A central focus of her work is the question of how educational institutions need to be designed to enable learning in a changing society. Topics such as inclusion, digitalization, pedagogical architecture and child-friendly spaces play a major role in this. For Bekeris, school construction is more than just constructing buildings – it is an expression of an attitude: education should inspire, open up and promote cohesion.

With her speech at the SCHULBAU trade fair, Ksenija Milda Bekeris will provide impetus for the future of learning and show how politics, architecture and education can work together to shape the school of tomorrow. Her contribution promises to be an inspiring start to the trade fair – with a clear view of the opportunities that lie in modern learning spaces.
