Timo Schlosser

The interplay of pedagogical development and spatial design is at the heart of Timo Schlosser’s work. As a consultant and speaker on pedagogical school building at the Pedagogical State Institute of Rhineland-Palatinate, he supports schools and school authorities in developing contemporary learning environments, with a particular focus on participatory planning processes and on the question of how modern school architecture can enable new forms of learning.

Under the title “Beyond the classroom – How new learning and modern school architecture interact”, Timo Schlosser demonstrates why traditional classroom structures often no longer meet the requirements of contemporary pedagogy, and shows how teachers, school authorities and planning offices can work together in participatory processes to develop future-proof school buildings with multifunctional learning spaces that can be used flexibly.
