Georg Salomon

As a specialist in Educational Architecture at the Quality and Support Agency – State Institute for Schools (QUA-LiS NRW), Georg Salomon supports schools and municipalities in school construction and school development processes as part of the statewide consulting project. In doing so, he promotes the integration of pedagogical concepts and spatial design. Furthermore, he contributes to the conception and implementation of expert conferences, as well as qualification and consulting services, which foster exchange between pedagogy, architecture, and school authorities.

Under the title “Contemporary Pedagogy Meets Space”, Vera-Lisa Schneider and Georg Salomon demonstrate how schools can become future-proof learning environments when pedagogical and architectural requirements are considered together from the outset. The focus is on the “Educational Architecture” project of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which supports schools and municipalities with free consulting services for school construction and school development processes. The presentation illustrates how the early integration of pedagogy, architecture, and municipal planning contributes to creating sustainable, functional, and learning-conducive educational spaces that meet the demands of contemporary education.
