Innovative learning workshops and effective heat protection: Stuttgart is seeking practical solutions for modern and future-proof school buildings.

Solutions wanted! – Learning workshops and heat protection in school construction
How can schools become contemporary learning environments while simultaneously addressing the challenges of rising temperatures? At SCHULBAU, Kerstin Niendorf provides insights into two central topics of school development: innovative learning workshops and effective heat protection.
While learning workshops open up new possibilities for independent, creative, and collaborative learning, increasing summer heat poses significant challenges for schools and municipalities. Especially in Southern Germany, implementable solutions are sought to create comfortable learning conditions while remaining economically feasible.
The focus is on how pedagogical requirements and structural measures can be combined, and which ideas could prove successful in practice.
