Startchancen in school construction – creating innovative learning spaces
How can modern learning environments contribute to improving educational equity? At SCHULBAU Berlin, Basti Hirsch demonstrates the transformative potential the Startchancen program offers for the development of future-oriented school buildings. The focus lies on the synergy between pedagogical requirements, pioneering spatial design, and the program’s strategic educational policy objectives.
The Startchancen program and the legal entitlement to all-day care present schools and school authorities with complex new challenges. In his presentation, “Startchancen in School Construction: Creating Innovative Learning Spaces,” he provides insights into the local situation based on a specific school within the Startchancen program. This exploration addresses how school buildings and learning environments must be designed to serve as a platform for contemporary pedagogical concepts. The lecture invites participants to discuss opportunities and hurdles while collectively envisioning new pathways for sustainable urban school development.
